If you're lucky enough to have your own pony, or access to one, try these...

• Grooming: Give a pony a soapy bath or groom it, as you would at pony camp.

• Obstacle Course: Set up an obstacle course for kids to ride through on a pony.

• Races: Have kids race on hobby horses or, if the kids are experienced, have them participate in games like apple bobbing on horseback or egg and spoon races on horseback.

• Tacking up Race: Time how fast kids can correctly tack up a pony.

• Scavenger Hunt: Hide clues or gifts (this works really well as an easter egg hunt around the fields and provide clues for finding them.

  

If you don't have access to a pony, try these!

• Decorate Horseshoes: Provide craft supplies like paint to let kids decorate their own horseshoes.

• Craft Horse Hair Bracelets: Make friendship bracelets using horse hair or yarn.

• Hobby Horse Races: Create stick horses and have races, or set up an obstacle course for the stick horses.

• Pony Obstacle Course: Build a fun, indoor or outdoor obstacle course using household items for kids to navigate with their hobby horses.

• Playdough Ponies: Use playdough to sculpt and build your own pony figures.

• Create a stop-motion or computer game: Use a stop-motion kit or a simple programming software to make a pony-themed movie or game.
